The founder
Ouaes Jamali
Ouaes has spent thirty years delivering enterprise software for manufacturers, retailers, and financial services firms. Not in an advisory capacity — embedded in the work, inside the code, solving the problems that other consultants had already assessed and documented without fixing.
The legacy technology depth is real. VB6, Classic ASP, .NET 1.1 and 2.0, WinForms, WPF, SharePoint going back to 2001, SQL Server going back to 2000 — these aren't things Ouaes read about. They are systems he has been inside, systems he has replaced, and systems he has kept running while replacing them.
JamSoft is named after the founder because there is no elaborate mythology here. Just a practitioner, thirty years of work, and the businesses that need it done right.

Application Intelligence Assessment
Every engagement starts with an assessment. Not a scoping document — an actual analysis of the code, the architecture, and the gap between what the software does and what the business needs it to do.
The assessment combines two things rarely found together: thirty years of pattern recognition from someone who has seen these systems before, and Microsoft Copilot code analysis that surfaces what manual review would miss or take weeks to document.
The output is a clear picture of what you have, what it will take to change it, and what the right path forward looks like. You know what you are committing to before we write a line of new code.
Codebase analysis
We go into the existing system — not the documentation about it, the actual code. Microsoft Copilot surfaces patterns, dependencies, and risk areas at a speed that manual review cannot match.
Pattern recognition
Thirty years of seeing the same problems in different codebases. We know what a system built to a deadline looks like, what technical debt costs to carry, and where the hidden complexity lives.
Honest recommendation
The assessment ends with a clear recommendation — not a proposal for the largest possible engagement, but an honest view of what the situation calls for and what it will take.

Under six months
Engagements are scoped to deliver in under six months. Not because we rush — because we scope carefully. A project with no end date is a project with no accountability.
Teams of up to three
Small teams move faster and communicate better. Everyone on an engagement is senior. No project managers managing project managers. The people doing the work are the people you talk to.
Embedded, not advisory
